From my earliest memory a crayon was in my hands and I was drawing.  Today I’d say a paintbrush has
taken the crayon’s place.  I like working with graphite for portraiture and acrylics for major paintings.

I was born in Portland, Oregon and the Northwest is truly my home.  In fact, my business is named “Art
Northwest.”  It is here that I feel at home working on wood projects such as toys, boxes, games and
custom framing.  I enjoy hiking, fishing, movies, family time and even working in the yard.  I am blessed
that I can raise my daughter and be an Artist.  They all bring me pleasure.

Although I took a few art classes in high school, I’m largely self-taught.  Subject matter ranges from
portraiture to landscapes.  Sometimes commissions come in for murals and I enjoy the expanse of the
“wall-sized canvas.”

Why do I paint?  Painting allows me to share with others my visions and interpretations of my Northwest
world.  More than once I’ve been impressed with the ability of some fine artist to say the most with the
simplest tools.  Perhaps this is why I like using the amazing-pencil.

With my wife and daughter, we have our home in Graham, Washington today.
